Scanning Scheme

The primary purpose of the Association is to promote and improve the Teeswater Sheep. At present the Association does not have a proven record of the calibre of the progeny of the Teeswater Breed can produce. If we can improve the quality of the confirmation of our stock this should, together with good rearing, allow us to prove the value of the Teeswater as a breed in the market place. Improving our “vulnerable” breed, (category 3 as identified by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust) is the best way the Association can protect it and reduce the possibility of remaining “vulnerable” forever.

A working group has been appointed to see how the scheme could be best rolled out to the membership
